FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) - Adam Weary scored a career-high 26 points and made all 14 of his free throws and High Point beat Longwood 88-80 on Thursday night to sweep the season series.

John Brown scored 18 points, Anthony Lindauer added 12 and the Panthers (17-9, 10-5 Big South) made 32 of 35 free throws (91.4 percent). Haiishen McIntyre had six steals for High Point, which beat Longwood 90-66 on Dec. 2 in the conference opener.

Trailing by six at halftime, the Lancers rallied to a 46-43 lead on Shaquille Johnson’s jumper early in the second half, but High Point was back on top 63-56 after McIntyre’s layup with 7:29 left.

Longwood closed within 73-66 on Darrion Allen’s free throw, but Lindauer hit a 3 for a 78-66 Panthers’ lead and High Point hit 10 free throws in the final 44 seconds.

Allen scored 22 with a career-high six 3-pointers and Lotanna Nwogbo had 21 with 15 rebounds for Longwood (8-20, 4-11).
