ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police say a 17-year-old boy who was shot at an Asheville apartment complex has died at Mission Hospital.

Media outlets report that Kyri Logan had been shot in the head on Tuesday afternoon. Asheville Police Department spokeswoman Christina Hallingse says Logan died Wednesday morning.

No one has been arrested in the case, Hallingse says.

Police received calls about the shooting at the Deaverview Apartments at about 1 p.m. Tuesday. One caller said 10 shots were fired, according to police.

Logan was a junior at Erwin High School, where he was a defensive lineman on the football team.
