READING, Pa. (AP) - Reading Eagle Editor Harry Deitz Jr. has taken on the additional title of associate publisher in a series of management changes announced this week by the newspaper.

Deitz joined the newspaper 37 years ago as a sportswriter, and served in a number of roles before becoming editor in 2008.

The Reading Eagle Co. says that with his new position, Deitz will be more active in representing the company in the community.

Anne Chubb, executive director of advertising and marketing, will be the new chief operating officer.

In other changes, David Gemmell was named senior director of finance, Lori Torres the assistant controller, and Christopher D’Angelo the senior director of production.

The company also announced production manager Keith Fritz had retired but will work as a consultant on special projects.
