MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) - Twymond Howard scored a career-high 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Myles Taylor scored 23 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Tennessee-Martin past Eastern Illinois in overtime Thursday night.

Taylor_for the second time in his career_shot 13 for 14 from the free-throw line.

The Skyhawks, currently the hottest team in the Ohio Valley Conference, won its sixth straight.

Demetrius McReynolds hit a 3 with 3:52 left in overtime to give the Panthers their only lead in the extra period at 76-75. Taylor made two free throws and Jalen Variste’s jumper made it 79-76 with 2:34 to play.

The game was knotted at 73 at the end of regulation.

Terrence Durham chipped in 13 points for Tennessee-Martin (16-12, 8-5).

McReynolds and Trae Anderson each scored 19 points for Eastern Illinois (11-16, 7-7), which lost its third straight.
