MALVERN, Ark. (AP) - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is alleging numerous unsafe working conditions at a custom wood door manufacturer in Malvern.

OSHA issued 27 serious citations against PrimeCraft Doors for allegedly exposing workers to the risk of amputations, electrical shock or electrocution and having no proper procedures to prevent machines from sudden starts or movements. Other citations allege the company failed to provide protective equipment and had improperly lit exits.

The company did not immediately return a phone call Thursday seeking comment.

OSHA proposes a $65,600 fine.

The company has 15 business days after receiving the citations to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s area director or to dispute the citations and penalties.
