SEATTLE (AP) - A Kent teen has been charged as an adult for shooting and injuring another teen in a McDonald’s parking lot.

The Seattle Times reports (https://goo.gl/iV2QNZ ) that the 16-year-old was transferred from a juvenile facility to a men’s prison in Kent on Wednesday. He has been charged with assault with a firearm for the Feb. 11 shooting and is being held on $250,000 bail.

Charging papers say the younger boy shot the 17-year-old because he was angry after the victim’s girlfriend didn’t return a comb that he says he left in her car.

The charges say the victim was shot once in the chest but survived his injuries.

The 16-year-old was accompanied by family members when he turned himself in to police the morning after the shooting.
