FAIRMONT, W.Va. (AP) - Police say an Academy Programs employee has been charged with sexual abuse for allegedly having sex with a teenage resident at the facility.

The Times West Virginian (bit.ly/1Q5kFO2) reports that 25-year-old Cassandra Nicki Noss of Morgantown was arrested Thursday after police received information from the Department of Health and Human Resources.

West Virginia State Police Sgt. Adam Scott says he was contacted by the agency’s Institutional Investigations Unit about alleged sexual abuse and sexual misconduct at Academy Programs.

Academy Programs serves at-risk juveniles by providing residential and in-home services for children with behavioral disorders and substance abuse issues.

Scott says that Noss was having an affair with another Academy Programs employee who found photos of Noss and a 17-year-old boy together in bed. Scott says Noss was the boy’s therapist and counselor.
