BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A man whose body was found in Eldorado Canyon near Boulder last September died after falling off a cliff while hiking.

The Boulder County coroner’s office says 53-year-old David Robles, a University of Colorado Foundation employee, died of multiple blunt-force injuries. His death has been ruled an accident.

The Daily Camera reports (https://goo.gl/10ReXD ) Robles was reported missing Sept. 5 when he did not return from a hike. Crews searched the area for five days with no sign of him before a family that had been hiking in the area at the same time told officials they had seen Robles and directed search crews to the area where they last crossed paths with him.

Crews found the body Sept. 9.
