WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - Former Philadelphia 76ers owner Pat Croce has donated $250,000 to West Chester University’s Center for Contemplative Studies.

Philly.com (https://bit.ly/1QNMfM1 ) reports Croce and his wife, Diane, donated the money Thursday as the entrepreneur spoke about discovering “mindfulness” last year.

Croce says he began his studies when he turned 60 last year and spends about five days studying mindfulness.

The school’s center, founded in 2011, promotes physical and mental health though yoga, meditation and mindfulness workshops.

Croce’s donation will help fund faculty and graduate assistants and help advertise the center.
