NEW YORK (AP) - A 6-year-old girl has been hospitalized after being pulled from the water at a luxury spa in Queens.

It happened shortly before 2 p.m. at Spa Castle in the College Point neighborhood.

The spa’s owner, Daniel Chon, told WABC-TV (https://7ny.tv/1PM7e47 ) that the girl put on goggles and went under the water.

Spa patrons pulled the girl, whose name wasn’t immediately released, out after noticing she hadn’t come up for air.

Witness Cristy Vargas said the girl was unconscious when she was pulled from the water. Vargas says she performed chest compressions on the girl. She is expected to recover.

An 84-year-old man died at the spa in 2014 after he was found submerged in a hot tub at the luxury spa.
