MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - A Cedar Rapids man who crashed into two squad cars while fleeing officers in northern Iowa has been found guilty.

On Wednesday a Cerro Gordo County jury convicted 29-year-old Trenton McCleary of theft and eluding. His sentencing is scheduled for March 23.

Authorities say McCleary was driving a stolen car on Dec. 14 when he fled deputies on state highways, Interstate 35 and a county road. The chase ended when he drove into a roadside ditch, hit the two squad cars and got stuck in a farm field. He was captured after a short foot chase.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1SVVhgx ) that McCleary suffered minor injuries. No officers were hurt.
