SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Malia Nawahine scored 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting, including a critical 3-pointer with under a minute left, and Utah held off California 72-66 on Friday night.

Emily Potter added 16 points and Tanaeya Boclair 13 for Utah (15-11, 7-8 Pac-12), both hitting a pair of free throws in the final minute.

A layup by Kristine Anigwe, who had eight of her 22 points in the fourth quarter, pulled the Golden Bears (12-14, 3-12) within 65-64 with 1:15 to play but Nawahine responded with a 3-pointer at 52 seconds. After a Cal miss, it took three fouls before the Golden Bears could send Boclair to the line, with 23 seconds remaining. Courtney Range, who had 13 points, scored for Cal at 11 seconds but Potter sealed things with a pair of free throws with eight seconds to play.

Utah shot 53 percent (27 of 51) while Cal was at 43 (24 of 56).
