DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - The parents of a Dubuque boy who police say was shot in the face when either he or another child accidentally fired a gun have pleaded not guilty in the case.

The Dubuque Telegraph Herald (https://bit.ly/1oshvtd ) reports that 3-year-old Jeremiah Horsley was injured on Jan. 3. The boy was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City for treatment.

Twenty-nine-year-old Willie Horsley Sr. pleaded not guilty Wednesday to child endangerment.

Twenty-five-year-old Raven Harris was arraigned last week on charges of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, neglect or abandonment of a dependent person and three counts of child endangerment. She pleaded not guilty. Her trial is scheduled April 12.
