LIPSCOMB, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have arrested two men on capital murder charges in a robbery and slaying last summer in Lipscomb.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Antonio Darnell Crawford and 39-year-old Edward Mack Jr. were taken into custody Tuesday at a home in Bessemer. Sheriff’s deputies made the arrest along with federal marshals.

The men were charged in the Aug. 1 robbery and slaying of 52-year-old Abdul Malek Alsabahi, who was killed at a home in Lipscomb, about 10 miles southwest of Birmingham.

The suspects were being held without bond at the Jefferson County jail. It was not immediately known if they had attorneys representing them.
