BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Two people were killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 90 near Park City.

The Montana Highway Patrol says a pickup was passing slower traffic in the westbound lanes when the driver lost control on the slick road Monday night. The pickup went through the median and into the eastbound lanes, where it was struck by a semi-trailer.

The pickup caught fire. The two people in the pickup died. Their identities had not been determined.

Officials say the 59-year-old Missoula man who was driving the semi tried to fight the fire with an extinguisher, but was unable to save the people in the pickup. The crash is still being investigated.
