PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Corporation Commission has named Commissioner Doug Little as the commission’s new chairman.

Little had been serving as interim chairman since former Chairman Susan Bitter Smith resigned.

She left the commission on Jan. 2, and the commission voted on her replacement as chairman Tuesday after the swearing-in of Andy Tobin, Gov. Doug Ducey’s appointee to replace Bitter Smith on the commission.

The commission regulates utilities, securities sales and railroad safety and also registers corporations.
