MULLAN, Idaho (AP) - A Montana man was killed after a passing semi-trailer struck his parked semi-trailer on the Idaho side of Lookout Pass.

The Montana Highway Patrol says 61-year-old Paul Flasinski of Butte was stopped along eastbound Interstate 90 Monday afternoon doing maintenance work on his semi-trailers in snowy conditions.

The patrol says Ralph Fitzhum of Oroville, Washington, went past the parked vehicle in another semi, which also was pulling two trailers. Fitzhum’s trailers collided with Flasinski’s trailers, which then hit Flasinski. Flasinski was taken to Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho, where he died of his injuries.

Fitzhum was not injured.
