DENVER (AP) - Blowing snow is keeping many highways in eastern Colorado closed but delays have eased at Denver International Airport.

Interstate 70 is among the roads still closed on the Eastern Plains Tuesday but Interstate 76 into Nebraska has reopened.

About 10 percent of flights were canceled at DIA because of the snow on Tuesday. Arriving flights were delayed by an average of about an hour for much of the day because of the blowing snow but conditions improved in the afternoon.

The airport is expected to be busy as travelers try to fly out after two straight days of cancelations.

About 11 inches of snow fell there. Parts of the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado were hit with over 3 feet of snow between Saturday and Tuesday.
