SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Attendance at Illinois’ state-administered historic sites dropped 7 percent in 2015 despite the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln’s death and his Springfield burial. Shorter hours at some sites because of the state’s budget pinch are to blame, officials said. The following list shows historic sites, their 2015 and 2014 attendance figures, and the changes from year to year.
