NAME: Kevin Griffin


AGE: 44.

OCCUPATION: President and CEO of AVANT Group, an employment staffing firm; used to work at similar firm run by his parents.


FAMILY: Divorced, one son.

OCCUPATION: Retired from 20 years in the military, with stations at the Pentagon and in Middle East; former airline operations supervisor.

PREVIOUS ELECTED POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in 2014 and for mayor of Greenville in 2015. Finished third to Sen. Kay Hagan in 2014 Senate primary.

FAMILY: Single.

PREVIOUS ELECTED POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Elected mayor of Spring Lake, re-elected in 2013 and 2015.
