LOUDON, N.H. (AP) - State transportation officials say a major Loudon thoroughfare was closed for more than 10 hours after a car crashed into a telephone pole near the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The Merrimack County Sheriff’s office tells WMUR-TV (bit.ly/1XDZFjd) that Route 106 in Loudon has been shut down since the 2 a.m. accident. It reopened just after noon on Saturday.

Transportation crews worked for hours to replace the pole and remove debris and wires in the road.

No information was available on the circumstances surrounding the accident.
