ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - The 2016 Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival is taking place at Washtenaw Community College.

Saturday’s event in Ann Arbor features Great Lakes maritime history and shipwreck presentations along with diving and educational programs. An exhibit area hosts book signings, exhibits from local maritime artists and a display by the Dossin Great Lakes Museum.

Dive shops and dive operators also will be on hand for the event, which is in its 35th year.

The festival is presented by The Ford Sea-Horses and Lancers Scuba Diving Club and supported by the Detroit Historical Society’s Dossin Maritime Group and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum.
