DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - A man accused of trying to abduct an 11-year-old girl as she walked home from a Dubuque school has been found competent to stand trial.

The Telegraph Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1SHCFjJ ) that Iowa District Court Judge Monica Ackley on Friday deemed 20-year-old Robert Robbins competent to stand trial.

Robbins is charged with third-degree kidnapping. His trail has been set for June 28.

In November, Robbins had been found not mentally fit enough to stand trial.

Authorities say Robbins grabbed an 11-year-old girl in March in an attempt to sexually assault her. The girl was able to escape.
