LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say a man was shot and killed early this morning in what have may been a robbery.

Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired near Lake Mead Boulevard and Marion Drive around 1:15 a.m. Saturday.

They located a man with a gunshot wound near the intersection.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say the victim had been walking in the area when he was confronted by someone and then shot.

Police have not identified possible suspects.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will determine the victim’s identity.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

This marks the 23rd homicide Las Vegas police have investigated this year.
