NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. (AP) - A major highway interchange project could hamper motorists near Nebraska City for the next two years.

The Nebraska Roads Department says work is scheduled to begin the week of Feb. 29 on the interchange of Nebraska Highway 2 and U.S. Highway 75. The mile-long project will include grading, culverts, bridges, landscaping and lighting.

Traffic will be maintained during construction, controlled by temporary signals, flaggers and pilot cars.

The $24.4 million project is expected to be completed in 2018.
