GLENBROOK, Nev. (AP) - Nevada officials say they have made plans to break apart and move a large boulder that rolled onto U.S. 50 near Lake Tahoe.

According to a news release from the Nevada Department of Transportation, the boulder rolled onto the road in the Glenbrook area Saturday evening. Officials say it caused an accident, but no one was injured.

NDOT officials say they will remove the boulder Monday. Workers will use specialty large equipment to move the rock, which is estimated to be nine feet wide by six feet high. Until it is moved, one lane of U.S. 50 westbound will remain closed.

The release says the work could last through Tuesday.
