CHULA VISTA, Calif. (AP) - Police in Southern California are looking for a man accused of setting his girlfriend’s Chula Vista house on fire.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1XI2AHE ) that the 35-year-old man and his girlfriend were at a party in San Diego on Saturday when they got in a fight and the man hit the woman.

Police were called to the party, but the man had fled. Police say he went to the woman’s house and doused the home in gasoline and set it on fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, but the home was gutted.

The man fled from the fire and remains at large.
