FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A man is accused of abducting a woman in Minnesota and holding her against her will for three days in North Dakota.

Kee Thao is charged in federal court with kidnapping. Authorities say Thao held the victim “for the purpose of assaulting her, and otherwise.”

The crime allegedly occurred between Oct. 18 and Oct. 20. Thao was arrested Tuesday in Fargo.

Trial is scheduled for May 3. A federal public defender could not be reached for comment.
