WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. Superior Court is getting ready to swear in a new judge.
Judge William Ward Nooter’s investiture ceremony will take place Friday at the courthouse. Nooter previously worked as an attorney for what is now the Office of the Attorney General in the District of Columbia and at a law firm where he handled personal injury cases, professional liability cases and employment and insurance coverage issues. He was a magistrate judge from 2000 to 2013.
Nooter received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. He got his law degree from George Washington University.
