LENOX TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say snowy and icy road conditions due to a winter storm may have been factors in at least two fatal crashes this week on Michigan roads.

The Macomb County sheriff’s department says 23-year-old Ann Marie Semear of Richmond died after the car she was riding in went into a ditch and rolled Thursday evening in the Detroit suburb of Lenox Township. The driver and an infant were treated for what were described as minor injuries.

Investigators say road conditions may have been a factor.

Authorities earlier said 6-year-old Harlyn Radley died after three-vehicle crash Wednesday in Calhoun County’s Leroy Township, near Battle Creek.

A storm dumped snow across the state Wednesday and Thursday. Some Michigan schools are closed Friday for the second- or third-consecutive day due to the weather.
