DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - Twelve people in Decatur have been arrested after authorities say the suspects sold drugs to undercover drug agents.

Decatur Police Sgt. Jason Hyder tells The Decatur Daily (https://bit.ly/1QbgJKt ) that over the past several months undercover agents purchased crack cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, “spice” and pills from 10 men and two women. The suspects, nine of whom are from Decatur, were arrested this week.

Lt. Jonathan Green says investigators have not identified any connections among the suspects, though suspected dealers were the main targets.

Distribution of a controlled substance is a class B felony, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
