TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man is headed to prison for sending child pornography to a federal agent posing as the mother of a young girl so she would arrange a webcam show of the girl performing sex acts on her father.

New Jersey authorities said Andrew Derrickson received a seven-year state prison term on Friday. He also must register as a sex offender and will be on lifetime parole once he’s freed from prison.

The 50-year-old Lindenwold man pleaded guilty last month to distributing child pornography

Derrickson engaged in an online chat in 2014 with the agent who posed as a mother with an 11-year-old daughter, prosecutors said. Derrickson soon sent the agent child porn videos and images in exchange for the “mother” arranging a webcam sex show in which the girl would perform oral sex on her father.

Derrickson sent about 75 images and videos overall to the agent, including numerous images of girls being sexually assaulted, prosecutors said. He also engaged in repeated online chats with the agent in which he continued to request that she deliver the promised webcam sex show.

Derrickson used a screen name during the chats, but investigators tracked the computer address to his home, where they executed a search warrant in October 2014.

A forensic examination of Derrickson’s computer revealed about 227 images and 925 videos of suspected child porn, according to prosecutors.
