PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police are looking for a man who stabbed a woman in a transit station elevator during an attempted robbery in northeast Philadelphia.

Officials said the 30-year-old woman got into the elevator at the Huntingdon station in the Kensington neighborhood to take the elevated line of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police said a man in his mid-to-late 30s got into the elevator with her, pulled a knife and demanded money, then stabbed her in the shoulder and leg while trying to look through her pockets. She fell and crawled out of the elevator, screaming for help, and the man fled. Police said nothing was taken, and the woman was treated at a hospital and listed in stable condition.
