ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say someone in a car angry about being cut off fired a gun at the other driver in Asheville.

Police said in a news release that the woman called 911 around 4 a.m. Friday after hearing the gunshots when she turned in front of the other vehicle.

Authorities say she drove to a police station in east Asheville while police chased a gold Kia SUV.

The driver of the SUV sped off and avoided officers, but police think the suspect lives in the area.

The woman was not hurt.
