TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Shaleth Stringfield had 20 points and Alisia Jenkins had 18 with 16 rebounds and No. 21 South Florida secured second place in the American Athletic Conference on Saturday with a 76-62 win over Temple.

Courtney Williams added 13 points and eight assists for the Bulls (21-7, 14-3).

Temple (18-10, 12-5), which won the first meeting 68-66, got 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists from Feyonda Fitzgerald and 15 points from Tanaya Atkinson.

South Florida ended the first half with an 8-0 run to lead 41-31 but the Owls scored the first seven of the third quarter. That’s when Jenkins, who had four career 3-pointers, hit back-to-back treys to push the lead back to nine.

The Bulls, who were without high-scoring freshman Kitija Laksa who missed her second game with a sprained ankle, led by 12 entering the fourth quarter and led by double figures the rest of the way.
