FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Cane Broome scored 23 points and added six assists to lead Sacred Heart to an 88-78 win over St. Francis (Pa) on Saturday in the final regular season game for both teams.

Tevin Falzon finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds and Matej Bouvac hit four 3s for 16 points for the Pioneers (12-17, 11-7 Northeast Conference), who closed the season winning four of five.

Sacred Heart shot 53.6 percent from the field and hit 19 of 21 at the line.

Greg Brown scored 21 points to lead St. Francis (13-16, 9-9). Ronnie Drinnon added 17 points and 18 rebounds.

Sacred Heart went on a 17-6 run midway through the first half and led 47-36 at the break. The Red Flash came back to tie the score at 65 on a Drinnon layup, but two Falzon free throws and a Bouvac 3 started a 13-1 stretch which put the game out of reach.
