BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Robert Brown scored 12 points and William Lee made two free throws with 13 seconds left to ensure UAB a 71-67 win over Western Kentucky on Saturday that gave the Blazers the No. 1 seed in the Conference USA tournament while clinching at least a tie for the regular-season title.

The Blazers (24-5, 14-2) won their 25th straight home game and avenged a 69-62 loss to the Hilltoppers (14-15, 6-10) on Jan. 28.

Tosin Mehinti and Lewis Sullivan added 10 points each for UAB, which shot 50 percent and made 7 of 16 3-point attempts.

Justin Johnson scored 19 points for WKU with Nigel Snipes adding 14, Fredrick Edmond 13 and Marlon Hunter 10.

WKU cut a 10-point, second-half deficit to three with 1:48 to go but UAB made four free throws in the final 24 seconds before Snipes hit a 3-pointer at the end.
