ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a driver with a revoked license fled a sheriff’s deputy, ran a light and crashed into another car, killing that driver.

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes says an Orange County sheriff’s deputy tried to stop 27-yar-old Syndia Saint Cyr early Sunday for speeding but she took off. The deputy stopped the pursuit but Saint Cyr kept going.

Montes says Saint Cyr ran a red light and crashed into a car driven by 23-year-old Cody Garrick of Orlando, killing him. Saint Cyr suffered minor injuries.

Montes says Saint Cyr was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide and driving with a revoked license. It could not be immediately determined if the Orlando resident has an attorney.
