NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a man waiting for a train at a Brooklyn subway station was shot in the stomach. He was hospitalized and expected to survive.

Authorities say it happened shortly after 12 a.m. Sunday at the Nostrand Avenue station. The 22-year-old man told police he was waiting for a number 3 train when two males confronted him. He told authorities he didn’t know why they shot him.

Police are searching for the men.
