MARIETTA, S.C. (AP) - Rescuers are searching a South Carolina forest for a 12-year-old boy discovered missing after a hike with his Boy Scout group.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and others are searching the Jones Gap State Park Sunday for John Quay, who’s been missing since Saturday afternoon. They said cold weather is a concern.

The five-foot-two boy was described as wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and glasses.

Investigators said he was hiking with his Boy Scout group and a head count around 4:30 p.m. Saturday revealed he was missing.
