DAVIS, W.Va. (AP) - A chair lift at Timberline ski resort has resumed operation a week after a mechanical failure left about 100 skiers stranded and injured two of them.

The lift was back in operation at the Tucker County resort Saturday.

Media outlets report a crossarm on the lift detached from a tower on Feb. 20, causing several chairs to derail and a few dozen skiers to fall off the lift.

Resort owner and CEO Fred Herz says crews worked throughout the week to complete repairs in time for the weekend.
