HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Hot Springs police say two 14-year-old boys have been arrested on preliminary rape charges for a sexual assault that was reported on school grounds.

In a news release issued Monday, Hot Springs police Cpl. Kirk Zaner said a Lakeside High School student told police Thursday that she was in the school’s field house when two 14-year-old boys forced her into a girls’ locker room. She told police the boys turned off the lights, held her down and sexually assaulted her.

Zaner says the two boys were arrested Friday on preliminary charges of rape. Both were booked into the Garland County Juvenile Detention Center and were being held with no bond.

No attorney information was available for the teenagers Monday.
