DENVER (AP) - Investigators say a Parker woman involved in a suspected drunken-driving crash that killed a motorcyclist and his passenger told them she was reading a text message in the moments before drifting into oncoming traffic.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/OOJ4fq ) that, according to an arrest affidavit, 27-year-old Athina Munoz had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and a strong smell of alcohol on her breath when she was interviewed by the Colorado State Patrol.

Authorities say 58-year-old Brian Lehner, of Parker, and his passenger, 56-year-old Jacquie Lehner, were killed in Saturday’s crash near Franktown. Another man riding a motorcycle behind the Lehners suffered minor injuries.

Investigators say Munoz acknowledged smoking pot and drinking two glasses of wine before the crash.

Booking documents do not indicate if she has hired an attorney.
