SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - A Hereford man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at a Sierra Vista apartment complex.

Sierra Vista police 26-year-old Carlos Correa Robles is being held in the Cochise County Jail on $100,000 bond on suspicion of one count of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder.

It was not immediately clear Monday if Robles has a lawyer yet.

Police say 25-year-old Arturo Vasquez Romero was shot multiple times last Friday in the parking lot and was dead when police arrived at the scene.

The apartment complex is located across the street from a middle school.

As a precaution, the school was placed on a lockdown, delaying student release and bus transportation for about an hour. After police determined the area was safe, the lockdown was lifted.
