TRUCKEE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say they have recovered the bodies of two canoeists who went missing on a lake near the California-Nevada border.

The Truckee Police Department says the two men were reported missing after their canoe capsized on Donner Lake Friday afternoon.

Police on Saturday found the body of 33-year-old Joshua Patterson of Cool, California, in about 15 feet near where the canoe capsized. Divers recovered the body of 34-year-old Lucas Johnson of Auburn, California, in about 60 feet of water on Sunday.

Placer County Sheriff’s Dive Team, Nevada County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue and the Truckee Fire Department assisted in the search.
