PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - A four-year-old boy drowned at a community pool at a recreational vehicle park in Peoria.

Fire Department officials say the boy went under water and stayed submerged for a couple of minutes while swimming with family members present Sunday afternoon.

The father pulled his son out of the water and an off-duty Phoenix police officer performed CPR while waiting for rescue personnel to arrive.

The boy was flown by helicopter to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
