WESTBROOK, Maine (AP) - Authorities say the body of a missing Maine man has been found in the Presumpscot River.

Richard Goff’s family had reported him missing after he failed to arrive for a meeting on Thursday. Westbrook police and the Maine Wardens Service launched a follow-up investigation at about 10 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities say the 44-year-old Westbrook man was found in the river near the Sappi mill about an hour later. His body will be taken to the state medical examiner’s office for further examination.

Police say the investigation is continuing. Sgt. Timothy Morrell says the death doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
