BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Buffalo are investigating the slashing of more than 100 tires on vehicles parked in a Buffalo neighborhood over the weekend.

Officers say the vandalism occurred between 10 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the Allentown section, home to some of the city’s most popular bars, restaurants and shops.

Police say between 50 and 80 people have filed damage reports so far, with some reporting more than one slashed tire. The reports started coming in Sunday morning as people found out their tires had been slashed overnight.

Detectives spent Sunday asking Allentown residents and businesses owners for information or security video that might help their investigation.
