DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A March trial has been scheduled for three defendants charged in the intimidation of an Army general at Fort Rucker.
The Dothan Eagle reports (bit.ly/1QHa7k3) a U.S. District Court judge has set a March 7 trial date at the federal courthouse in Dothan.
Prosecutors say the defendants showed up at the home of a general on Fort Rucker during a weekend last May to discuss a security contract. Authorities say one of the suspects was carrying a firearm in a holster, though it was later determined the gun wasn’t loaded.
Harold Laverne Davis of Enterprise and Maurice DeShane Houston of Level Plains were both charged with felony assault. Michelle LaShae Jackson of Enterprise was charged with a federal firearms violation.
Authorities have not released the name of the Army general.
