RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginians head to the polls Tuesday to help decide who will be the Republican and Democratic presidential nominees.

Here’s a guide to primary day:

WHAT TIME ARE THE POLLS OPEN AND WHERE CAN I FIND MY POLLING PLACE?

Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. and you can find your polling place at https://elections.virginia.gov

___

WHO CAN VOTE, AND IN WHICH PRIMARY?

Virginia is an open state, meaning all registered voters can pick to vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary.

___

DO I NEED ID?

Yes. If you’re a registered voter who forgets to bring photo identification, you can cast a provisional ballot.

___

WILL I HAVE TO SIGN A LOYALTY PLEDGE IF I VOTE IN THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY?

No. The Republican Party of Virginia initially wanted voters in its primary to sign a form saying they were a Republican. But the party backed off the pledge after a public outcry, as well as criticism from GOP front-runner Donald Trump and his supporters.

___

ANYTHING ELSE?

Because the ballots for Virginia’s primary were printed weeks ago, there are several candidates on them who are no longer running.
